Open Accounts
An open account is an account with a balance. A balance is the sum of any charges that have not been accounted for in the system. In order for an account to be considered closed, the balance must be zero. This report is useful when trying to identify what accounts may need to be reviewed.
- Start by going to AR Follow-Up, and click Open Accounts.
- Select a date range in the search criteria and click Search.
- Locate the patient on the patient's name to view the list of the patient's open records.
- Each Date of Service with a balance will be displayed. From here, you have the option of clicking the Patient ID to open the patients account, exporting the report to a CSV file, or printing.
